Hi everyone, Eric here. We are in a holding pattern after our trip to Colorado. We are waiting for the new recommendations from our out of state doctors to be implemented. We are also waiting on cultures to grow so we can treat whatever may be residing in her lungs, causing problems. Kristen is still waiting to start several new medications. She was approved to start the new drug Orkambi but we have yet to see it come our way as of yet. Also some new enzymes and other stomach medicines were recommended and are hopeful that Kristen may be able to try implementing them soon too. Kristen got her Pacer turned up recently. We are hopeful that it will help with the nausea that seems to still plague her often these days. Thank goodness for her having a maintenance plan in place. We drive in to bend for hydration and nausea injections several times a week. The wonderful nurses who take care of her are amazing, we are so grateful for all that they do.
Hattie has been transitioning to a "big girl" bed and has left us more tired than usual. She is adjusting to her new found freedom to move about her room slowly, but making progress every day. Fingers crossed. Hattie will be turning 2 this month. Wow, she has changed sooo much. I cannot believe how awesome our little kiddo is. It seems, that everyday there is something new she is doing, saying, or understanding to take us by surprise. We had a fun Halloween. We took Hattie to the downtown Redmond trick or treating festivities. Hattie had on her lamb costume and Kristen painted her face. This marked the first year Hattie understood the word "candy", watch out. I am back to work at the sub shop and currently chasing a new career in the greater Portland area. I am spending lots of time online these days looking at jobs and filling out online application. Anyone with any leads on employment opportunities please let me know. I need to line up work before we can move up to Portland. We are trying to make headway on finished up our current house projects. We got the new closet doors up in the mud room and in Hattie's room. We are almost done with exterior house repairs. I foresee another work party weekend coming soon, hopefully. We still have much to do in order to get the house, rental market ready. The back bedroom and bathroom are the last part to finish up and then our whole home remodel will be finished. So as the days go by we are doing what we can, when we can. As always we would like to thank everyone for all the love and support. We are so fortunate to have you all in our lives.
