SNAP CRACKLE POP IN WYOMING
We made it to Wyoming. We are on the second leg of our trip to Denver and the ride is going well.
About two hours out of Ogden my heart started racing and the headache began. Slowly I started running out of breath especially if I tried talking, walking or carrying anything a few yards. Gradually I began to feel the wheezing and suddenly I sounded like a Rice Krispie treat. Snap. Crackle. Pop. Ugghhh this feeling is awful. Two culprits: CF and elevation. At about 7,000 feet and man oh man I can feel it.
The the anxiety of not breathing sets in shortly after the 'crackles' begin and then an overwhelming feeling of anger and sadness-that I just cannot fight this time-take over. I'm so mad that this wasn't caught sooner. I'm incredibly sad at the toll this set of bugs are taking on my body. I'm disappointed I haven't been treated sooner and prevented so much damage. I'm so sad and so angry that the only thing I can do to make these feelings stop right now is to simply set them aside and tell my self what's the point? Anger is an ugly thing. It has its time & place, believe me, but here and now is not it.
Right now is about love and family and healing. Right now is about bracing our selves with strength and community and courage. Right now is about right now. Period. Anybody that knows me knows that my affinity and loyalty to my friends and family come first which is exactly why all I have to do is look at Eric & Hattie and then, bam, I have all of the fuel I need to fight.
Thanks for your support. Please forward this site and the warriordefinesher.org link to anyone and everyone that you can think of. I want this to spread greater than the fungus in my lungs! Hahaha! ;)
Love, Kristen
